Arctic Audubon is pleased support 2016 small grant recipient Sarah Degennaro’s project Chasing Cranes. Sarah worked as an educator for the Alaska Department of Fish & Game at Creamer’s Field in Fairbanks for a number of years.
Sarah is now traveling by bicycle, following thousands of cranes on their migratory journey this fall. She will be stopping at important bird areas along the way to draw and paint the cranes in their various habitats, then plans to compile her drawings and paintings into an art exhibit and illustrated book.
Her goal is to help build public appreciation about the life histories & habitats of cranes and to inspire people to support wildlife conservation. Arctic Audubon is proud to support Sarah in her conservation journey! Click the link above and view her video to learn more.
